Sunday Cinema Roundup- “The Secret Life Of Bees” With A Recipe For Gluten Free Hot Honey Cornbread

I know its practically fall but I am a summer girl at heart so I will so just about anything to keep summer around as long as possible. Who’s with me? So, I thought I would get one last hurrah in, and I have a great Sunday movie for you for this weekend. As we all transition to fall I am always finding myself planning ahead and its never too early. Is just me or has the world of slow living enthusiasts (myself included) become obsessed with bees? I think the fear of bees in the yesteryear has been swatted away by the ever concerning “vanishing” of our population bees which has riled the environmentalists, activists, the animal lovers and now the lovers of all things honey and flowers. I mean- I love me some honey but never understood bees until more recently after watching an episode of “From the Source” on the Magnolia Network. It’s really interesting! I love flowers so much that now I have a curiosity to the valuable part bees play in maintaining our ecosystem, food chain and flowers. Anyway, maybe I will do a deep dive about bees sometime. Without further ado, I introduce to you my Sunday movie pick for you all, “The Secret Life Of Bees”. I love this charming , feel good movie starring Dakota Fanning, Queen Latifah and Alicia Keys. I really enjoyed this movie on a slow Sunday with some honey cornbread in hand and a cup of tea! After you watch the movie tell me your favorite part.
